Mary J. Funtjar (Rish), age 88, passed away peacefully at home, September 2, 2014. Born September 12, 1925 in Crestline, Ohio, Mary is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Victor; her children Raymond (deceased), Robert, William (Lisa), Beth A. Wier (Greg); grandchildren, Elizabeth Lanter (Scott), Joey (Jenny), Andrew Wier (Holly); and great grandchildren, Anna and William Lanter. After raising her children, Mary retired from Mt. Carmel Medical Center to Palm Harbor, FL where she was active in her community, volunteering and socializing with her many friends. Returning to Ohio in 2007, Mary has spent these last happy years enjoying time with her family. Mary was a long time member of Brookwood Presbyterian Church, where a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2014. The family would like to sincerely thank both Mt. Carmel Hospice Care, and Samarra, Sarah and staff of Visiting Angels Living Assistance Services for the caring and compassion extended to Mary and our family.
