"Services for Louise A. Nurnberg, 90, Lincoln, formerly of Norfolk, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at Johnson-Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. The Rev. Randy Bader will officiate with burial in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery." "She died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at Orchard Park Assisted Living in Lincoln.

The daughter of John and Louise (Bargstadt) Appel was born Oct. 25, 1909, at Millard." "She graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1925, then worked as a housekeeper at various dairy operations in west Omaha. She married Robert Nurnberg on Nov. 8, 1932, at Millard. The couple farmed north of Hoskins for more than 40 years before retiring and moving into Norfolk in 1972. She later became a resident of Oddfellow Manor, then moved to Lincoln in 1999." She was survived by 2 sons and their wives, 1 daughter, 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. "She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985, one daughter, three brothers and two sisters."
