Joan Morrison Sitman, age 87, died on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Bellingham Retirement Community. Joan was born on July 8, 1929 in West Chester, PA to the late Robert J. and Mildred Mateer Morrison.
Joan was a 1947 graduate of Radnor High School and attended Goldey-Beacom College. She was the Past President of the Trading Post and volunteered at Melmark and Tom Thumb Nursery. Joan was a member of Chester County Historical Society.
Survivors: Wife of William D. Sitman of Malvern, PA; mother of Simone Sitman Martin (Kurt) of Malvern, PA; grandmother of Johanna Schmidt and William F. Schmidt; sister of the late Hope M. Davis (Homer B.) of Haverford, PA; aunt of Homer B. Davis, Jr., Darryl Morrison Davis, and Joel Christian Davis.
Viewing will be held on Thursday evening, Aug. 4th from 6-8pm at the Mauger-Givnish Funeral Home, 24 Monument Avenue, Malvern, PA and Friday morning, Aug. 5th from 9-10am at Paoli Presbyterian Church, 225 South Valley Road, Paoli, PA, followed by her funeral service at 10am. Interment Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA.
