The Hanford Sentinel, Hanford, California, Thursday, January 2, 1964: N. T. Cowan. Nolan Temple Cowan, 59, of Hanford, died yesterday in a local hospital. Mr. Cowan, born in Arkansas, had lived in Hanford 27 years.
Surviving are his widow, Bertha of Hanford; two sons, Calvin and Melvin, both of Fairfield; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Travaline, Hanford; his mother, Mrs. Norma Cowan of Henrietta, Okla.; a brother, Roy of Chanute, Kan.; three sisters, Mrs. Frances Dupier, Henrietta, Okla., Mrs. Mallie Jumper of Tuba City, Ariz., and Mrs. Alva Pierce of Calistoga and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at People's Funeral Chapel, Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Hanford Cemetery.
