Garnett W. Jones passed away June 16, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine Sheffield Jones and George Andrew Jones; six brothers; his loving wife, Irma Lee Riemer Jones; and granddaughter, Sherrie Lynn Cone. He is survived by his sister, Lillian Jones Swanks and husband Marshall Swanks; his son, Garnett Edward Jones; 3 daughters, Shirley Jones Payne and husband Edwin Lewis Payne, Ida Lee Jones Cone and husband Roy Darrel Cone, and Charlene Lavon Jones McKey and husband Jimmy McKey; 3 grandsons, Darrel E. Jones, Danny E. Jones, and Dalton E. Jones; 6 granddaughters, Terresa Payne Katt and husband Greg, Lisa Payne Watkins and husband Steve, Tracey Payne Baillio and husband Bobby, Sharon Cone Flippo and husband Curt, Kristi McKey Marx and husband Melvin, and Shannon McKey Nay and husband Marshall; 15 great grandchildren, Ashley and Kaci Jones, Sarah Jones Barns and husband Jerimiah, Beau Daniel Jones, Kati Jones, Lindsey Katt, Brandon, Ryan and Melissa Watkins, Zachary and Hayden Baillio, Chaise, Leah and Lacy Flippo, and Noah Marx; 2 great great grandchildren, Jerimiah Barns, Jr., and Lane Aaron Flippo; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 20, 2006 from 6 – 9pm at Canon Funeral Home in Waller. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 1:00pm at Canon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fieldstore Cemetery.
