Predeceased by his wife of 77 years, Dolly, on Jul 12, 2006. The last of the Popneer Storter family, he was known by most as "Hub". Hub was a career fisherman. He was an ambitious and adventurous person, developing the first cement block company in Naples, Florida and was owner of the first taxi company in Naples. He was a captain in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII with a large fleet of ships stationed at Everglades City, Fl. Capt. Hub ventured into many other fields during his career and took it to a higher level.He owned 22 shrimp boats which patrolled the Atlantic off North Carolina and both sides of the Gulf of Mexico, Tampeco, Bay of Campechee and Dry Tortugas. He was well known in all the shrimp ports along the Gulf from Texas to Florida.
