Sara A. Congleton, 90, a resident of The Waters of Covington since September 2014 and formerly of Perrysville, Indiana, passed away at 12:04 a.m. EDT Thursday, July 21, 2016 at The Waters of Covington.

She was born Sept. 2, 1925 in Perrysville, the daughter of the late Joe and Chloe (Teegarden) Lewis. Sara married William L. Congleton on June 19, 1943 in Houston, Texas. He preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 1998. Sara was also preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Congleton and Russ (Nancy) Congleton; six grandsons; one granddaughter and five great-grandchildren.

Sara was a homemaker. She also formerly served as the Clerk/Treasurer for the town of Perrysville for several years. Sara was a member of Perrysville United Methodist Church. She was a 1943 graduate of Perrysville High School. Sara enjoyed gardening and watching college basketball.
