Verna Hall, 91, of Moline, formerly of Rhode Island, died March 5, 2009 at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley. Funeral services was at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline. Verna was born September 10, 1917 in Nasonville, Rhode Island to Wilson and Etta (Walling) Pickering. She married Albert Hall in East Providence, Rhode Island in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1988. Verna was employed for 50 years as a nurse for numerous hospitals and nursing homes. She retired in 1987. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline. She enjoyed playing the organ, doing crossword puzzles and reading. After her retirement, she volunteered at Trinity Medical Center.
