Stan passed away at MorningStar Senior Living Center under the care of Alliance Hospice. He grew up in Ucon, attended Shinards Art School in California, and served in the Army in Japan and Korea. On March 23, 1951, he married JoAnn in Idaho Falls Temple. For several years, they lived in California, where Stan worked at RocketDyne and Atomics International doing illustrations for the space program. Stan moved his family back to Idaho in 1969 to work at INL for LeHigh Design as an illustrator. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he had served faithfully in many callings, including as first Bishop in Simi Valley, California, as Bishop’s Counselor in Idaho, as well as Gospel Doctrine teacher. While on Ammon Stake High Council, he was instrumental in organizing Camp Cumorah near Bone. He was an avid fisherman and loved art as a hobby and as a profession. A western artist, he painted many seascapes and scenery of Idaho. He worked in all art mediums and his works are collected by many in the Intermountain West. He had a beautiful tenor voice and especially enjoyed Barbershop singing with his brothers. Survivors included: son Reed (Lynn) Cramer of Idaho Falls; daughters Coleen (Keith) John of Denver, CO, Renae (Arden) Hill of Emmett, ID, and Karen (Glendon) Evans of Tremonton, UT; siblings Evan, Anita, Richard, Steve, Irene, Louis, and Irving, 18 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. Preceding were sisters Glenna, Sharon, and Alice Rae. Services held July 27 at Ammon LDS 1st Ward, 3000 Central Avenue, Bishop Alan Johnson officiating. Military Rites by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
