THOMASVILLE-Grace Rothrock Underwood, 78, passed away on Monday, July 18th, 2016.
She was born December 12th, 1937 in Forsyth County, to the late Leslie and Lou Calhoun Rothrock. A resident of this area most of her life, she was a retired employee of Gordy’s and she attended Landmark Baptist Church. Grace enjoyed the outdoors; especially fishing, Blue Grass gospel music and the beach. Her true love and passion was spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were a son, Jeffrey Underwood and a brother Ronnie Rothrock.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Tommy Underwood and his wife Maria; her sister, Ruth Prevost; her grandchildren, Amber, Emily, Hunter and Dustin Underwood; her great grandchildren, Hayden and Jaxen Coleman.
A service to celebrate Grace’s life will be held 2 pm on Friday, July 22nd, at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, with Pastor Frankie Gentry officiating. Interment will follow in Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, July 21st, from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
