(He is buried in McDonough, GA., according one source, however there has been no luck, so far, in finding a marker bearing his name.)
They are found on the 1860 US Census of Henry Co., GA. Charles' stated age is 28, Sarah, age 18, along with two small daughters, Laura Ella McCrary, age 2, (wed William Riley Story) and Edna Francis 'Fanny' McCrary, age 1 (wed Benjamin Hill Fowler).
The 1870 US Census of Pike Co., GA., add additional children; James Dozier, born 1861-1947 (Wed Mary Jane Story) and Ida Charles, born 1866-1911 (resting next to her mother here at Bethel).
In 1850, on the US Census of Wilkes Co., GA there is a Charles M McCrary, age 18, listed as the son of Isaac McCrary, age 49, and Amanda Francis McCrary, age 47, living with siblings, Frances E, age 25, Thomas I, age 15, David W, age 12, Charity A, age 10, Elija C, age 4, and Burwell, age 4.
