MAN STRICKEN IN CAR NEAR MCHENRY
H. G. BURNS, 67, died suddenly while driving his automobile at McHenry Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock. His body was discovered by a passing motorist. Mr. Burns had pulled to the side of the road and turned off the ignition key. A coroner's inquest was held and a verdict of death from natural causes returned.
Mr. Burns, born August 2, 1884 in Burns, Miss., had been in the general merchandising business in McHenry for some time.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ada Burns; two sons, Dwight Burns, Hattiesburg, and W.H. Burns, Ocean Springs; three brothers, Horace and Malcolm Burns, Jackson; and Howard Burns, Brookhaven; four sisters, Mrs. Sylvester Robinson, Magnolia; Mrs. Carrie Caughman, Morton; Mrs. Linnie Hughes, Jackson and Mrs. J.J. Flynt, Memphis.
Funeral services will be held at McHenry Cemetery at 8 o'clock Tuesday morning with Rev. Clyde Thompson officiating. Pallbearers will be Henry Lott, Alvin Bowden, Willard Parker, Billy Parker, Hyman Fore and Burton Walker. The body will remain at Dees Funeral Home, Wiggins, until time for services...
