Sam married Evelyn Doutre on March 30, 1928 in Powers, Menonminee, Michigan.
He also owned Khoury's Cocktail Lounge, 405 Stephenson Avenue, Iron Mountain.

ABE KHOURY REPORTED DEAD IN SYRIA
The long way home has ended for Abraham Khoury,75, veteran of Iron Mountain confectioner &
real estate dealer, according to word received here by his children yesterday. He was reported to
have died near a small city near Tripoli, where he had been living since the summer of 1939.
He had come to Iron Mountain when he was 21 years of age, 54 years ago.
He left Iron Mountain in July 1939 to revisit his native land. That fall he married a Syrian girl & started arrangements for their return to the states. Italy declared war on France & the Mediterranean Sea became unsafe for passenger travel.
He is survived by his widow, 3 sons, Albert Samuel & William; 6 daughters: Mrs. Stella Shada,
Mrs. Sophie Shada. Mrs. Evelyn Vercella, Mrs. Anna Warner, Rose & Mrs. Katherine Safronek.
