She was born August 3rd, 1929 in West Salem, OH to Richard P. and Elizabeth M. Bailor and has been a resident of Elyria since 1947.

From 1976 until her retirement in 1993, Lillian was employed as a clerk at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center.

She was a long time member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Elyria and active in First Church Women, Heights Circle and Cora May Walton Guild. For many years, she was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Lillian was a passionate (albeit fair-weather) Indians fan and an avid reader. She loved crossword puzzles, played the piano and delighted many with her beautiful singing voice.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Carol) Indian of Westerville, OH, Alesia Meng of Elyria, Carolyn (Robert) Sorrell of LaGrange, David (Betty) Irvan of Wellington and Elaine (Troy) Perkins of Elyria; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a sister Laura (Robert) Hodge of Salem, OH.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Irvan in 2014; grandson, Colby Irvan in 1991 and brothers Richard Bailor in 2003 and James Bailor in 2008.

She was the light of her family's lives and will be dearly missed.

Family and friends are invited to honor, remember and celebrate her life during visitation Tuesday, July 19th, 2016 from 4 to 7 PM and at the service on Wednesday, July 20th, 2016 at 11 AM at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria. Reverend Kathryn Ketchum will officiate. Burial will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
