Obituary for Kevin Royal Bays
Kevin Royal Bays, 68, of Bloomfield, passed away at his home on Friday, July 15, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dexter and Vernalee (Royal) Bays and a Daughter, Amie Bays Lundy.

Surviving relatives include: five children, Lacreta (Rodney) Eskam of Bedford, Chad (Melissa) Bays of Beech Grove, James (Amy) Bays of Bloomfield, Kodi (Keith) Pfaff of Solsberry and Shaylin (Logan) Bays of Brazil; two siblings, Ricky (Pam) Bays of Bloomfield and Kebra (Ray) Wolfe; five grandchildren, Christopher Feltner, Alexis (Josh) McClure, Evan Kerr, Billy Goldman II and Nicole (Brock) Ward; four nieces and nephews, Betina (James) Yurkus, Sean Bays, Cade Speer and Toma Speer; five great nieces and nephews, Shawnda (Gordon) Bays, Devin Bays, Kyla Lachat, Shane (Mariah) Yurkus and Jacob Speer; and several great-great nieces and nephews.

Born of February 5, 1948, Kevin was the owner of Bays Old Barn Garage in Bloomfield for thirty-three years. Now owned by his nephew, Cade Speer, named CS Auto. Kevin sold his business and retired in 2013. He was a loving and caring father, son, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with George Ockerman officiating. He will be laid to rest in Walnut Grove cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 1 hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation.
