She grew up in Montreal, Quebec, where she met Joseph Auger when he was on a visit. They were married in Montreal on April 11, 1956. Joe moved Rebecca to his home in Dollard, Saskatchewan. They later moved to Shaunavon and when Rebecca needed more care, they moved to Foyer St. Joseph in Ponteix. They were together for 49 years before Joe passed away in 1995.
She was also predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Olivia Cloutier, her sisters Hermance, Aurore, Matilda, Rosa and Chantale, her brother-in-law George Martel, her children, Jeanne, Roland, Yvette and Giselle and her grandchildren, Michelle and Ernest.
Rebecca is survived by her brother, Patrick Cloutier of Ste-Thècle, Quebec and her children, Henry (Amanda) Auger of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, Angeline Richot of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Marcel (Maureen) Auger of Edmonton, Alberta, Lina Desautels of Fernie, B.C., and Madelaine Thomas of Red Deer, Alberta and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
