Wiley Jackson Bean was the son of John Bean. He was born in Burke County, NC in June 1802. His wife Julia Ann Crews was born in 1809 in Butts County, GA. They were married on July 27th, 1826 in Butts County, GA. The 1840 census finds them in Randolph County. According to the National Archives Wiley Jackson Bean served in the military during the removal of Creek Indians in the 1830's and received a land grant for his service. He died in Aliceville in Pickens County, AL in 1855. He and his wife had a total of nine sons and six daughters.
