Mr. Mansell was a lifelong Atoka area resident.

Born to Horace Gilbert and Tula Elizabeth (Johnson) Mansell.

PASSED AWAY: Tuesday, April 14, 1998 at Medical City Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

AGE: 75 years; 11 months; 15 days

EDUCATION: Attended schools at East Tellico in Atoka County and graduated from Atoka High School.

MARRIED: Billye Jean Partin on March 15, 1947 in Coalgate, Oklahoma.

OCCUPATION: Merchant~He owned and operated Mansell Appliance Company for 35 years, retiring in 1985. During World War ll he worked in the shipyard in California.

CHURCH AFFILIATION: A lifelong member of South Atoka Church of Christ.

Gib served his country during World War ll in the Army Air Corps 8th Air Force in England. He served on the Atoka City Council and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and flying. He became an accomplished pilot and taught others to fly.

SURVIVED BY: SON; Steve and wife Gayla of Atoka, Ok. DAUGHTER; Peggy Mansell of Oklahoma City, Okla

SISTERS: Virginia Collier of Grand Junction, Colorado - Geneva Dodd and husband Freddie of Stringtown, Okla - also Bettye Jane Roberts of Atoka, Okla. BROTHERS: Darwin Mansell of Atoka, Okla. and Forrest Mansell and wife Dorothy of Atoka, Okla.
