Miriam J. Moore, 96, of Spring Street, Saxton, PA; passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Homewood Retirement Center. She was born on January 23, 1920 in Three Springs, PA; a daughter of the late Roland and Jennie (Wilson) Bergstresser. On February 17, 1940 in Huntingdon, PA; she was united in marriage to Ralph N. "Candy" Moore. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1986. She is survived by a son Harold "Tim" Moore married to Donna, Valhalla, NY; daughter-in-law: Elouise Moore, Huntingdon, five grandchildren; six great grandchildren, four great great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by son Richard D. Moore and four brothers: Ned, Harold, Jack and Samuel. Mrs. Moore was a graduate of Saltillo High School Class of 1938. After graduation she completed schooling at Nelson's Beauty Academy in Huntingdon in 1939. She owned and operated Miriam Moore Beauty Shop for forty-six years until her retirement.
