Leonard Lyons Brierly Jr was born to Leonard Lyons Brierly Sr and Nancy Ann Smitson on 05 Sep 1856 in Bracken Co, KY. His parents were married on 23 Jan 1847 in Bracken Co, KY.
** Mary's brother, George Nelson England (1858-1927), signed a sworn statement that Mary was 18 years of age, lived with her father and that he had his father's permission to authorize the marriage. George's memorial #: 55016411

Mary Lucy England was born to David England and Martha Ann Moreland on 16 May 1860 in Bracken Co, KY. Her parents were married on 26 Aug 1846 in Bath Co, KY. Her father was born to David England and Jane Harper on 19 Oct 1822 in Bath Co, KY.

Leonard and Mary were married on 03 Nov 1878 at her father's home in Bracken Co, KY. It was a first marriage for both of them.

Of this union, one son was born:
i. Garret Briley, born 10 Aug 1879 in Bracken Co, KY
** His memorial says he was born 10 Aug 1878, but that is incorrect.
