OBITUARY - Vernon O. Wissinger, published: Dec 2, 1946

Vernon O. Wissinger, of Graceton, passed away at the Indiana Hospital November 30, 1946 at 11:00 p.m. He was born January 23, 1891 at Clymer, the son of Alex and Elizabeth (Howarth) Wissinger. Mr. Wissinger was a veteran of World War I, having served as Tech. Sgt. with 5th Division 19th Field Artillery. His early life was spent in Clymer. Some years in Indiana and Creekside and the last 20 years in Graceton. He was a carpenter for the Coal Mining Co. of Graceton. The deceased was a member of Graceton Local No. 6248 U. M. W. of A,; Homer City Post No. 493, American Legion; Indiana Post V. F. W,; I. O. O. M., Blairsville and F. O. E. No. 1488 Blairsville.

Friends will be received at the Robinson Funeral Home, Indiana after 3:00 p.m. Monday. Services will be held in the Home Tuesday Dec. 3, 1946 at 3:00 p.m. in charge of Rev. Floyd H. Randall. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Fairman Wissinger, his step-mother, Mrs. Mary Wissinger, Indiana; one daughter, Annabel Wissinger, Graceton and one brother, Emerson Wissinger, Shelocla.
