Elizabeth (Betty) E. Malecha, 81 St. Cloud April 24, 1925 - Aug. 7, 2006 Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. (TODAY) August 9, at St. Mary's Cathedral (lower level), for Betty E. Malecha, 81, who died Monday at her home. The Rev. Steve Binsfeld will officiate. Gathering at the Church following the Mass. She was born April 24, 1925 in St. Nicholas, MN to Susan (Schmitt) and Frank Berger. Betty grew up in Watkins. She married Frank Malecha on June 12, 1950 in Watkins. Betty was the supervisor of the St. Cloud Hospital Coffee Shop in the 1980s. Survivors include: children, Elizabeth McKibben, Frances Malecha, Mary Malecha, all of St. Cloud, Pat Roemheldt of Waseca, (Hyacinth) Susan Malecha of Anchorage, Alaska, Ann Malecha of St. Paul; 6 grandchildren, Jesse, Nick, Ashley, Jessica, Kyle, and Hope. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and husband.
