Born in Johnston, a son of the late Giuseppe and Immaculata (Rinaldi) Cerra, he lived in Greenville for 20 years.
Mr. Cerra had worked in the jewelry polishing business for many years. He was a World War II Army veteran, and a member of the Kelly-Gazzero Post, VFW, Cranston.
Besides his wife he leaves a son, Francis J. Cerra of Greenville; a sister, Margaret Cerra; two brothers, Fred and Nicholas Cerra, all of Johnston, and two grandchildren.
The funeral with military honors will be held Tuesday at 7:45 a.m. from the Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Philip's Church, Putnam Avenue. Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum, St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
