BELYEU appears on an 1847 list of owners of Negroes in Muscogee County, as agent for Mrs. WALKER, who owned a slave aged 1 year (name illegible, per Galer, p. 103).
According to Sexton’s reports (and ergo, interred in the city cemetery for Whites, now known as Linwood Cemetery):
A child of Mrs. BELYEU, aged 1 week, was buried 09 SEP 1849 (cause of death not reported, per Galer, p. 183).
Mrs. BELYEU died, aged 35 years, of fever, and was buried 12 SEP 1849 (Galer, P. 183).
