Funeral services for Arietta Williams, 94, of Smithville, formerly of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cookeville City Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at NHC of Smithville.
She was born Feb. 16, 1912, in Putnam County to the late James Elzie and Etta Speakman Bilyeu.
Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and a member of Willow Avenue Church of Christ.
Her family includes two daughters-in-law, Judith Williams of Cookeville and Laura Williams Eldridge of Michigan; six grandchildren, Karen Williams Goodson of Cookeville, Tammy Williams Adermatt and Jimmy, Johnny, Robert Lee and Joel Williams, all of Michigan; 16 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives of the Bilyeu family and the NHC Healthcare nursing staff of Smithville.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Williams; two sons, Robert L. Williams Jr. and James E. Williams; a brother, Tommy (Brother) Bilyeu; a sister, Mary (Tincy) Bilyeu Hones and a grandson, Mark Williams.
