Mr. Michael "Wildman" Pridgen, 69, died Monday, July 4, 2016, at his home. He was born May 13, 1947, in Spring Hope, N. C., the son of the late James Leslie Pridgen and the late Margaret Mangum Pridgen. He lived life to the fullest and played by his rules. He had numerous friends, and was a fantastic friend to everyone. He had a good heart and wanted to help everyone. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Pridgen was very much an outdoorsman; he especially loved his horses, camping, hunting and traveling to the mountains. Mr. Pridgen served our great country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He received a Purple Heart and bronze and silver stars for his bravery. He was of the Baptist faith.
The celebration of life memorial service for Mr. Pridgen will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at the chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by the Rev. Lynn Hough. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m., Saturday.
