Clara Martha BRYAN, daughter of Edgar BRYAN and Ella Vasa BRYAN, was born at Arkadelphia, Clark county, Ark., on August 6, 1878. She moved with her parents to Jack County, Texas, when about 5 years of age. She lived there until grown, then moved to the Indian Territory, near Mansville.
Mr. and Mrs. MITCHUSSON were married July 3, 1895, and made their home near Mansville. To this union were born ten children; the youngest Charles Glen who died in infancy, preceded his parents in death.
In the fall of 1904, Mr. MITCHUSSON filed on a homestead in Beaver county, three miles north of Gray. He and his family moved there on March 19, 1905. This farm was the family home until 1923, when Mr. and Mrs. MITCHUSSON moved to Goodwell, where they were residing at the time of their death.
Both Mr. and Mrs. MITCHUSSON were devoutly religious and were quite active in the betterment of their community. They played a prominent part in church and Sunday School at the old sod schoolhouse at Bethany, and Mrs. MITCHUSSON taught a Sunday School class through the years.
Mrs. MITCHUSSON was an officer in the Flower Clubs, Sorosis Club, Order of the Easter Star, Women’s Christian Temperance Union, Women’s Society of Christian Service, and was voted an honorary member of the Official Board of the Goodwell church last year.
