Jay Alderson, 55, Bethany, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at his home.
He was born October 5, 1956 in Kirksville, MO, the son of John B. and Donna (Sevits) Alderson.
On July 8, 1988, he married Lynn Hendren in Greentop, MO. She survives at the home.
Jay was the owner of Slims Bar-B-Q in Bethany, MO. He was a 1975 graduate of Coffey High School.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Lynn, are a step-daughter, Renae (Brandon) Wattenbarger, Gallatin, MO; Step-son, Ryan Madison, St. Joseph, MO; brother, Glenn (Jeri) Alderson, Princeton, MO; 2 granddaughters, Ellie and Libby; 2 nieces, Jessica and Kassidy; nephew, Aaron; father-in-law, Harold Hendren, Cameron, MO; brother-in-law, Jeff Hendren, Bethany, MO; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jay was preceded in death by parents and 2 brothers, Mike and Don Alderson
