Moises Archuleta, 98, of El Rito, NM died August 30, 2005 He was an avid hunter, sportsman and rancher. He worked for the Zia Company in Los Alamos, NM for 23 years. He helped to build the Northern New Mexico State School in El Rito, NM and was a co-founder of Las Clinicas del Norte.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Estella (Martinez) Archuleta, sons, Teofilo and Camillo Archuleta; and parents, Pedro and Cresencia Archuleta, sisters Juanita Sisneros, Delubina Gallegos, brother Eliberto Archuleta.
He is survived by his children, Crecencio Archuleta and wife Gail of Santa Fe, NM, Romie Oselio of Albuquerque, NM, Floriada and Husband Augustine, Isabelle Siqueiros and husband Beto, Ted Archuleta and wife Frances, George Archuleta and wife Frances, Pete Archuleta and wife Grace, Rudy Archuleta, Moises Archuleta JR and wife Genera, Steve Archuleta, Tony and wife Janet, all of El Rito, NM and Genera Archuleta of Rio Chama; 37 grandchildren,; sisters Margarita Lucero of El Rito, NM and Ernestine Silva of Fruita, Colorado; and many other relatives and friends.
Cremation is being planned. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am September 2, 2005 at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito with burial to follow at the Grotto of San Juan Nepomuceno Church.
