Margaret was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.
She would greet everyone with a smile and baby blue eyes. She welcomed everyone to her home, especially her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her sister, Ernestine Silva of Fruita, CO; 2 sisters-in-law, Rebecca Sisneros of CO; Veroniz Archuleta of La Mesilla; 3 sons, Toby and wife Irene, David and wife Rosie, Eli and wife Lorraine; 3 daughters, Carmen Lobato, Donna Maestas, and Sister Annette Lucero, O.P.; 12 grandchildren (Nicole, James, Kimberly, April, Joann, Nancy, Leona, Anthony, Esteban, Edna, Jessica, and Olibama); 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter (Nevaeh); 3 God-daughters, Rey Lucero, Floraida Martinez and Pauline Lucero.
A rosary will be recited on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. also at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito.Burial will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Pallbearers are her grandchildren, Nicole Lucero, James Lucero, Joann Lobato, Edna Campos-Kedge, and Anthony & Esteban Lucero. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren: Kimberly, April, Nancy, Leona, Jessica and Olibama and her beloved great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Del Corazon Hospice staff for their wonderful care, kindness and spiritual support, the Senior Citizens Center staff and friends she met along the way, Lorraine and Jeanette Lucero for leading the rosary, George and Frances Archuleta for bringing communion to mom, Father Tom Noesen, O.P. and other Con-Celebrants for a beautiful mass, Cathy Martinez for the beautiful music she provided, to Lugi and David Romero for providing the beautiful urn to carry mom to her final journey home, and to everyone who gave their condolences, prayers, food, flowers and money donations.
Mother was blessed to have lived a long and healthy life, loved her family and friends and is probably dancing to her hearts content. May you rest in peace, now you are home.
