Sue was first married to Clyde Moore, Sr. with whom she had two children. She later married Roy Gilbert and after his passing, married William “Bill” South, Jr.
Sue was blind since birth but she learned to play the piano at an early age and blessed so many people over the years with her musical abilities. She loved to travel to visit her family and lifelong friends she made while studying at the SC School for the Deaf and Blind. Sue was a member of Kentucky Road Christian Church in Mexico, MO and a former member of Davis Memorial Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC.
In addition to her parents and husband Roy, she was predeceased by an infant son, Larry; and two brothers, Tommy and H. Nelson Terry
Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Edgar Boles. A graveside service will be held in New Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2708 Rock Branch Rd., Elberton, GA 30635.
