Elsie Mae Compton, 91, of Amarillo, died Monday, June 27, 2016. She was born May 30, 1925, in Channing to Robert and Onie Bishop. She had an antique business at one time and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, H.V. Compton.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Thorwald of Arlington; a son, Ronald Farris, of Chino Valley, Ariz.; two sisters, Gloria Scott of Amarillo and Tana Ruth Fender of Wichita, Kan.; a brother, Dallas Bishop, of Amarillo; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2016, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
