"Asa Spaulding, Y employe, dies at 69
Asa L. Spaulding, 69, of 120 B Ave., National City, a county resident 47 years who worked as a welder and maintenance man for the San Diego YMCA for 30 years, died Sunday in a hospital.
Services conducted yesterday in Greenwood Mortuary were followed by entombment in Greenwood Mausoileum.
A native of Utah, Spaulding is survived by his wife, Grace E.; a son, Ross L. of Chula Vista; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Stone of National City and Mrs. June Hikel of San Diego; one brother Ernest J, Evans of San Diego; a sister, Mrs. Grace Vowles of El Cajon, and five grandchildren.
The family suggested memorial contributions to the Ruberculosis and Respiratory Health Assn. of San Diego and Imperial Counties."
