Alfred Arthur Canipe, 74 of Hickory died Saturday, January 16th, 2016 at his residence. Born August 4th, 1941 he was the son of the late William Canipe and Susie Canipe. He was retired from Sherrill Furniture after 30 plus years. He loved watching his grandsons play baseball. He was an avid flea market shopper and collector of trinkets.
His wife of 56 years, Jeanette Killian Canipe of the home; a daughter, Sheila Kahill and husband Brian of Conover; a son, Johnny Canipe and wife Cassie of Hickory; a brother, Franklin Canipe of Hickory; two grandchildren, Daniel Kahill and Blaise Canipe survive him.
Two brothers, Ambrose Canipe and Ruffin Canipe preceded him in death.
The funeral will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, January 20th, 2016 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Dr. Stephen R. Disher officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 pm Wednesday, January 20th, 2016 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel.
