Ronald Davidson Hawkins, 69, of Strasburg, Virginia, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Winchester Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Washington Masonic Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

He was born on March 25, 1947 in Front Royal, Virginia, to the late Milton Mortimore Hawkins, Jr. and Dorothy Burke Hawkins of Washington, Virginia.

Ronny was a graduate of Rappahannock High School.

He worked for the CIA in Washington, DC and served 23 months in Vietnam while in the US Army. Following the war he also served as a sheriff's deputy with Warren and Rappahannock counties. Ronny's life was dedicated to police, fire and rescue work. He also worked for Prince William County School System Security for many years.

Surviving along with his mother is his son, Ronald Davidson Hawkins, II of Essex, Virginia; and a grandson, Matthew.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Stewart Willis Hawkins.

He was previously married to Stephanie Ann Aylor and Rebecca Monger.

Arrangements are being handled by Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street Front Royal, VA 22630.
