CAMPBELL, Dorothy Gayle Abbaticchio, age 95, went home to her Lord and Savior on June 24, 2016. Dorothy, known as "Dot" to friends and family, was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her parents, six siblings; and the love of her life, Everett C. Campbell. Dot and Everett were blessed to be happily married for 70 years. They raised their family in Richmond, Virginia, and retired in Louisa County, where they fell in love with "country life" for the next 38 years. Dot is survived by their four children,

She was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Dot's life was devoted to her family. Her legacy will live on through the faith and values she instilled in them. All who knew her will remember her positive attitude and the radiant smile which was always present. While her passing is sad for those she left behind, it is also a time to rejoice in a life well-lived. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Holly Grove Christian Church. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, at Holly Grove Christian Church. Burial will follow at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Holly Grove Christian Church, 1637 Holly Grove Dr., Bumpass, Virginia 23024 or the Holly Grove Volunteer Rescue Squad. Arrangements are being made by Lacy Funeral Home, Rt. 522, Mineral.
