Jewel Sybil Atkins Wilson, 87, widow of Theron George Wilson, died June 25, 2016 at her home.
A native of Greer, daughter of the late L. P. “Doan” and Nancy Naomi Reid Atkins. She was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church and actively taught Sunday school until her passing. Mrs. Wilson was a special education teacher for 30 years, was a member of Upcountry Friends, United Daughters of Confederacy and she loved her family and friends unconditionally.
Surviving are four sons, Tim Wilson, (Debbie), Jack Wilson (Marcia), Joe Wilson (Elizabeth) and Dan Wilson (Jane); one daughter, Tina Wilson Clayton (Hugh); ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wilson was predeceased by a brother, L. P. Atkins, Jr.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mark Smith and Rev. Martin Atkins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary escort will be the Willing Workers Sunday School.
Visitation will be held 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. The family is at the home.
