Obituary:
MRS. MARY ELIZABETH FRY, of 406 East Market street, Blairsville, died November 29, at 8:00 P.M. enroute to the Indiana Hospital. Born in Apollo February 9, 1899, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Effie Beck Shearer. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Blairsville. Surviving are her husband, George H. Fry of Blairsville; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Ludwig of Tarentum, and these brothers, Clarence Shearer of Pittsburgh; Harry A., also of Pittsburgh, and LeRoy of Vandergrift. Her only son, Pfc. William C. Fry, was killed in World War II in 1945 on the Island of Saipan. Friends will be received at the Hunter Funeral Home, Blairsville, where services will be conducted Sunday, December 3, at 2:00 P.M. by the Rev. John N. Hempstead, pastor of the Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Armagh Cemetery.
