Charles Alexander "Alec" Bonner, 92, of 502 Arthur St., West Kittanning, died Monday May 16, 1988, at his home. He was born Oct. 3, 1895 in Center Hill, to Joseph and Callie (Lemmon) Bonner. A lifelong area resident, he was barber in West Kittanning for many years, previously working for the Linde Air Corporation. A veteran of World War I, he served on the Leviathan and USS Arizona. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Kittanning, the Elks Lodge of Wilkinsburg, Kittanning VFW, the Barbers Union, American Legion and Knights of Pythias. Surviving are his wife, Margaret (George) Bonner; three sons, Charles of Carlisle, Joseph of Antwerp, Belgium, and Harry of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Calvin E. (Mary) Miller of Kittanning; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements by Bauer Funeral Home of Kittanning are incomplete at this time.
