Yustina Schroeder Schaefer, was born in Philadelhia, Pa. July 10 1851 Departed this life April 29 1851, aged 63 years after along siege of Grip which attacked her in Febuary.
The time during the most painful part of her sickness was spent in one continuous prayer for relief which was granted her to a great extent before she died, when the death angel appeared it found her sleeping.
She was married to George P. Schaefer February 8th 1871 to whom 8 children were born, only 4 of these survive her. It will be remembered by most of our readers, that the husband and Father was laid to rest in the same cemetery not quite a year ago.
Mrs. Schaefer joined the Congregational church 17 years ago. Though there was no Congregational Church in Hallett, she was pleased to worship at the others churches. She passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P. A. Froughbery one mile and a half west of Cleveland. She was laid to rest in the Hallett Cemetery. Rev. Hubbard of Cleveland, conducted the services. Those surviving her are F. A. Schaefer, Wichita, Mrs. W. W. Scott and Mrs. P. A. Troughbery of Cleveland, and J. H. Schafeer of Washington. All were present but the last mentioned.
