Dorothy Louise Barrow
VANCEBORO - Dorothy Louise Barrow, 73, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.Ms. Barrow, a native of Craven County, spent her life in the Dudley's Crossroads community. A graduate of Farm Life School, she was employed at Cherry Point, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Chapman's United Methodist Church and later attended Epworth United Methodist Church. She was a loving and compassionate lady who took care of so many people. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alice Barrow; and a brother, Richard.
She is survived by her longtime friend of 52 years, Earl Venters; two nieces, Kimberly and Dana; four great-nephews, Zachary, Benjamin, John and Callan; and numerous cousins, friends and neighbors.
Graveside service was held at Chapman's United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chapman's Cemetery Association, c/o Walter Barrow, 2775 Wilmar Road, Vanceboro NC 28586.
