Irene Nesteruk, 78, of Brackenridge died Thursday (Aug. 6, 2002) in UPMC St. Margaret, Pittsburgh.
She was born Jan. 11, 1924, in Natrona, Harrison.
Mrs. Nesteruk worked in the business office of Citizens General Hospital, New Kensington, for 20 years.
She was a member of St. John Orthodox Catholic Church, New Kensington, and the church choir.
Mrs. Nesteruk enjoyed sewing.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Peter Nesteruk; three sons, Greg Nesteruk of Natrona Heights, Harrison; Gary Nesteruk of Santa Monica, Calif., and Alan Nesteruk of Benicia, Calif.; a brother, Harry Boyko of Ocala, Fla.; and four sisters, Mary Straiter of Turtle Creek, Helen Soen of Apopka, Fla., Dunya Boyko of Brackenridge and Mrs. Antoinette (William) Swartz of Davenport, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Catherine Grigoruk Boyko; two brothers, Anthony and Daniel Boyko; and four sisters, Alexandria Boyko, Dorothy Pastuck, Priscilla Yockey and Pauline McCauley.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, where a burial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday. Her pastor, the Rev. Paul Ziatyk, will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Airy Cemetery mausoleum, Natrona Heights. Parastas service will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
