Victim of serial killer Ed Kemper.
Aiko was the daughter of Skaidrite
Rubene, an immigrant from Latvia, and her father was Korean. She was an accomplished Korean dancer who toured the country performing in authentic ballet costumes that her maternal grandmother, who lived with her mother and her, sewed. She also played the Korean drums. Aiko had plans to have a career in Korean folk dance.

On the night she was abducted and murdered, she was on her way to San Francisco to attend a dance class - she was supposed to catch the bus. Her mother was concerned that she might have hitchhiked to get to the class, as she had recently been ticketed for hitchhiking, but she promised her mother she wouldn't that evening.
