Ann Woods Cutchins, 91, passed away June 19, 2016 at Westminster-Canterbury in Virginia Beach. Mrs. Cutchins was born on January 21, 1925 in Lewistown, PA to the late William J. Woods and Myrtle Sebrell Woods. She was the widow of Clifford A. Cutchins, III and was preceded in death by her son; William W. Cutchins (Caroline), her brother; William J. Woods, Jr., and her sister; Margaret Woods Davis.
Ann attend Madeira High School and Sarah Lawrence College. Her memberships include the First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach, The Garden Club of America, The Norfolk Garden Club, The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the Commonwealth of Virginia and The Society of the Descendants of the Signers of the Declaration on Independence (Rev. John Knox Witherspoon, 6th President of Princeton University).
Survivors include her sons; Clifford A. Cutchins, IV (Jane), Cecil V. Cutchins (Anne), her grandchildren; Sarah C. Ewing, (Charles), Ann Woods Cutchins, William W. Cutchins, Jr., (Alexis), Caroline C. Boyd, (David), Elizabeth C. Messick, (Jason) Cecil V. Cutchins, Jr., (Leslie), Allison C. Watson,(John), Clifford A. Cutchins, V, and 14 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Cynthia Gayda, Creselda Bautista, Hara Mae Brutsche, Edna Barrogo, Mary Cole Morris, and Yshi Cavero for their love and compassionate care of our mother.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 24, 2016 at Poplar Spring Cemetery in Franklin, Virginia. A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 25, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach by Dr. Albert G. Butzer, III.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Academy or one's charity of choice. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road is handling arrangements.
