Effie's 1st marriage was to Emory Jordan. They had 1 daughter, Uvelta Gayle. Her 2nd marriage was to Bob Clark. She raised 2 of her grandchildren, Steven and Shari.
She had 3 other granddaughters. Laura (who passed away in Feb. 2010 at age 44 due to complications of diabetes), Kathy and Melissa.
Update:
Effie's daughter, Uvelta (Gayle) Clinton went to be with her on August 16, 2011. She died from complications from Alzheimers.

Effie's granddaughter, Melissa, passed away due to complications of Diabetes Type 1 in December 2015.
