Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City.
G.C. was born January 25, 1940 in Prentiss, MS to Grover Cleveland and Dezzie Mae Fortenberry and died June 15, 2016 in Bossier City, LA. He was a member of the Church of God. G.C. retired from LSUHSC as a Planning Estimator.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jerry Wayne Fortenberry; two brothers and five sisters.
G.C. is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Lowrey Fortenberry of Bossier City; sons, Daniel Joseph Fortenberry and wife, Marie of Tupelo, MS, Jason Alan Fortenberry of Bossier City; daughter, Theresa Faye Fortenberry of McGee, MS; sisters, Bobbie Beckham of Mobile, AL, Mildred Porter of FL; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
