Born August 23, 1942 in Edgerton, he was the son of the late Thomas Ronald Amos and Estelle Noland Amos. Jim lived in the Marshall area for over 50 years, where he was a concrete laborer. He was a member of Gilliam Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons: Robin “Robbie” Amos, Jerry W. Amos, and Monty C. Amos; several grandchildren; four brothers: William D. Amos, Orville V. Amos, George W. McComas, and Marvin C. McComas; one sister, Sherry Henke; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son; one daughter; six brothers; and two sisters.
