The Rev Hubert was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, serving the local church for many decades. He was a clergy member of the Western North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church. Hubert had a special focus on the Rural Church and small church ministries. For many years he was involved with volunteers in Missions, taking him on building teams around the world.
Hubert graduated from High Point college in 1955 and The Divinity School of Duke University in 1961.

Mr. Clinard served in the US Army for 2 ½ years during WWII. He was assigned to the B Battery of the 540th field Artillery Battalion and also served in the Pacific Theater Campaign earning him the Asiatic-pacific Campaign Medal.

He is survived by a wife, five grown children and their families.
