Donald Arthur Lees passed away Tuesday, May 31st, 2016 at the age of 89 at Eagle Cliff Manor in Billings Heights. Don was born on October 12th, 1926 to John and Cathie (Coghill) Lees of Roundup, Montana.

Don was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, and cribbage player. He enjoyed his family and all the kids. He was looking forward to his 2 newest great granddaughters to be born this summer and we’re sorry they’ll miss getting to know him. Don began his career in Butte as a banker, studied bank auditing and worked in Glasgow until he helped open Western State Bank in Billings in the summer of 1970. Later he was involved in opening another branch in Ashland Montana before coming back to finish his career in Billings where he remained until his death. During the 60s Don served as President of the Association of Montana for Developmentally Disabled Children.

Don served in the Navy during WWII and Korean War. He was able to take part in the Honor Flight with Scott Fink as his personal chaperone, May 2014. One of his most memorable experiences was to visit the WWII Memorial in Washington DC.

Don and Nettie loved to dance and their children grew up in Glasgow then Billings watching them square dance and 2-step.
