Our beloved daughter and sister Donna Jean Lees, 54, died July 5, 2006, following emergency surgery in Butte.

Little Donna was born on Oct. 4, 1951, the eldest child of Donald A. and Nettie Erickson Lees.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a longtime member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Billings. She graduated from Billings Senior High School. She was employed with Goodwill Industries in Billings for 23 years before moving to Anaconda with Dad and Jan, our stepmother. In her retirement she enjoyed her companions and activities at the Mountview Social Center in Butte.

Little Donna had a great sense of fun and loved many things, including playing cards, costume parties, watching Disney movies and dancing to Elvis Presley's music. She loved any family gathering, with all her siblings, nephew and nieces around, and especially anticipated Christmastime. Most of all, she loved her two little poodles, Scooter Too and P.J., who miss her very much.

Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Nettie Lou, and by her grandparents, Lewis and Alma Erickson and John and Cathie Lees.

She is survived by her father Don and his wife Jan; her brother Kim D. Lees and his wife Francesca, and their daughters Ariel Lees Ricci and Massimiliano, and Anica Lees and her daughter Pthalo; her brother Ross G. Lees and his wife Donni, their son Cory and his wife Autumn, and their daughter Stephanie Lees; her sister Linda Lees Wright and her daughters Megan and Chelsea Wright; her sister Julie Lees Schatz and her husband Andy, and her daughters Bryanna and Sierra Durst; and by her extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. We will all dearly miss the determined and fun-loving little character that she was, but we're comforted to know that she's been reunited with Mom in heaven.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for little Donna will be held at 2 pm. on Tuesday, July 11, at Atonement Lutheran Church, 407 Wicks Lane and Lake Elmo Road. Inurnment at the cemetery in Lavina will occur at a later date.

Memorials on behalf of Donna may be made to the Sunday School at Atonement Lutheran Church, Goodwill Industries, 951 S. 29th St. W., Billings, MT 59102, or the Social Development Center, 2100 Farragut, Butte, MT 59701.
